China Motorcycle production decrease 12.27% in August 2010

According to the statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)the amount of Chinese motorcycle production was 1,795,300 units in August, shrinks 9.47% from last month, and down 12.27% compared with the same period of last year. Of which, the production of two-wheel motorcycle was 1,624,100 units, down 10.58% month on month and 14.03% year on year; three-wheel motorcycle production was 171,100 units, up 2.54% month on month and 8.88% year on year.
From January to August, motorcycle industry production reached 18,635,000 units, an increase of 17.35% compared with the same period of last year. Of which, two-wheel motorcycle production was 17,239,200 units, up 16.98% year on year; three-wheel motorcycle production was 1,395,800 units, increased by 22.13% compared with the same period of last year.
